The murdered out truck stands out from the crowd and commands attention wherever it is.? Welcome back! The NFL football season is in full effect and we?re back again for another season of Redskins Rides.? Last year, Easterns Automotive Group partnered with the Washington Redskins to find the best rides in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.? It was such a success that the two decided to bring back the segment again this year to coincide with the 2018 Redskins season. In this clip, Ziggy Hood of the Redskins introduces both Frances and Michael to share their custom Redskins themed Ford Crown Victoria.? From first glance, it?s obvious that these two are some of the biggest Redskins fans in the area.? This incredible ride is covered in Redskins logos and stickers from the front to the back of the exterior.? The interior is also covered in Redskins memorabilia, seat covers, and mats.? It makes perfect sense that they use this car for tailgating because it is the ultimate showstopper.? The couple is still working on adding a few things here and there to the car to make it even more special.? This project went from being a fun hobby to a labor of love for them.? Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week: Jason Campbell and Chief Zee talk Easterns

This week, we are bringing you a Throwback Thursday clip that is near and dear to not only our hearts but also to the residents of the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.? Former Washington Redskins player, Jason Campbell is joined in this clip by the late Chief Zee.? Chief Zee was a well-known fan mascot of the Washington Redskins from the year 1978 all the way up until the year that he died in 2016.? What made Chief Zee so special was the fact that he was so dedicated to the Redskins.? He wore the controversial Native American war bonnet paired with a red jacket.

Jason Campbell is seen in the video chatting with Chief Zee about the large inventory at Eastern Motors.? In his mind, the inventory is so large that he just doesn?t know which car to choose.? Chief Zee reminds him that he will be good with whatever he chooses because you can?t go wrong when purchasing a car at Easterns.? Chief Zee then took his talents to the dance floor where he danced and sang along to the Easterns jingle.? This shoot was such a fun time!? Rest In Peace, Chief Zee. You will forever be a part of the Easterns family!

Alex Ovechkin Wants to Play Football with the Washington Football Team

Welcome back! We have a special Throwback Thursday Clip of the week for you guys. We must start out this blog by congratulating the Washington Capitals. Alex Ovechkin helped lead the Capitals to their first ever NHL Stanley Cup win last week against the Golden Knights. Ovechkin was also the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy since he was voted most valuable player (MVP). The energy throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area has been electrifying since the big win. The team celebrated a few days ago with Capitals? Stanley Cup parade on Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C. where an estimated 100,000 fans attended.

In honor of the big win, we thought it would be only right to post an Ovechkin throwback clip with Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) for you guys to enjoy. In this clip from 2009, Ovechkin is cornered in by Chris Cooley and Antwaan Randle El in the locker room. Both Cooley and Randle El played for the Washington Redskins at the time. Ovechkin put a helmet on and told the guys that he too could play football. The guys put Ovechkin to the test but clearly he wasn?t fit for the NFL. Perhaps he?ll stick to hockey. Behind the Scenes for the 2018 Eastern Motors Commercial Shoot w/ the Washington Football Team

June is off to a great start! Last week, Easterns Automotive Group was joined by some players from the Washington Redskins to shoot a new commercial. Eastern Motors commercials at this point are renowned and celebrated across the world. Each year these commercials seem to take on a life of their own and get the people talking. Larry Michael, the Voice of the Redskins, came by to chat with the players about their experience filming with Easterns. He was joined by Josh Norman, Alex Smith, Ryan Kerrigan, and Jamison Crowder. However, this is not Norman?s and Kerrigan?s first rodeo. The two have been a part of the Easterns All Star team since 2016 along with Kirk Cousins before he got traded to the Minnesota Vikings. Smith and Crowder on the other hand are newbies. All of the guys were excited to shoot and had a fun time welcoming Smith to the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Let?s just say excited can?t even begin to describe how we feel going into the 2018 Redskins season. These guys are ready to win it all. This upcoming series of commercials just may be the best yet. Stay tuned for what is coming in the next few months. We?ll be bringing you the news first!

Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week: No Bow and Arrow for Josh Norman

Guess what day it is? Thursday! This means that it is time for another Throwback Thursday Clip of the week presented by Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors). In 2016, upon his arrival to the DMV area to play for the Washington Redskins, Josh Norman became a part of the Easterns All Star team with Ryan Kerrigan and Kirk Cousins. Norman has shot a variety of commercials since then but this clip is one that stuck out. During a 2016 Washington Redskins game against the Cleveland Browns, Norman pretended to shoot an imaginary bow and arrow in the air to celebrate his interception. He was flagged and fined $10,000 by the NFL because they felt that the gesture simulated violence. The discussion grew when former New Orleans Saints player, Brandin Cooks was thrown into the mix since he has been doing the gesture for years and has never been penalized. Norman felt that the NFL organization was singling him out and making an example out of him.

In the Throwback Thursday clip, Norman is shown attempting to do the same bow and arrow celebration but was stopped by someone yelling, ?No!? It was a fun skit to remake because there was never any harm meant in the first place. Norman is not a violent person nor does he condone that type of behavior so for it was just strange for people to imply violence behind the celebratory gesture. Easterns fans! Redskins fans! We are back with another Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week. This week, we have a clip from 2016 starring Redskins linebacker and number 91, Ryan Kerrigan. He shot this particular clip as well as a series of others both individually and with the help of his teammates Kirk Cousins and Josh Norman. The overall goal of this clip was for Kerrigan to explain to fans and viewers what hard work means to him pertaining to his football career. With Kerrigan having to endure so much throughout his career, he definitely understands the importance of sacrifice, consistency, and work ethic. This partnership with Kerrigan made sense because Easterns sells cars to the hard working men and women of the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community. These are the folks that can definitely relate to working hard and fighting to achieve what they want! It?s that time of the week! We are back with another Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week presented by Easterns Automotive Group. This week, we have chosen to highlight none other than the cornerback for the Washington Redskins, Josh Norman. Easterns recruited Norman for commercials shortly after he signed his $75 million dollar deal with the Redskins. A deal that made him the highest paid cornerback in NFL history at the time. In this clip, Norman discusses the importance of believing yourself and working hard to overcome any fear or doubt. This is something that anyone can relate to despite their gender, race, or financial status. Norman?s teammates Kirk Cousins and Ryan Kerrigan also shot commercials both individually and together during this time. These three together make up what is known as the Easterns All Star Team.

Norman was a great addition to the Easterns family because of core values and what he represents both on and off the field. He understands the importance of hard work, dedication and being a part of the community. His reliability caused the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community to receive him with open arms. It?s time for our Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week from Easterns. This week, we have none other than former Washington Redskins player, Alfred Morris. The particular commercial being referred to was shot back in 2013 when Morris was a running back for the Redskins. Easterns recruited him during his very early days of being a Redskins player. They believed that he would be a great fit due to not only his skills on the football field but also what he represents as a person of the community. In this clip, Morris is shown working out and training for an upcoming Redskins game. Viewers are able to go behind the scenes of his training session and get a quick glimpse of the personal work ethic that it takes to be great in NFL football. The theme of hard work is universal because so many people can relate to working hard no matter what career field that they are in. Kirk Cousins of the Washington Football Team recently came to the Eastern Motors headquarters in Sterling, Virginia to film a series of commercial spots. Cousins was welcomed with open arms by the entire Easters staff. According to Joel Bassam (Director of Marketing at Easterns), ?Kirk is family at this point. We absolutely love having him on board with Easterns.? Cousins even brought two of his Redskins teammates Josh Norman and Ryan Kerrigan with him to shoot their own commercials for Easterns as well. These three collectively make up what is known as Easterns All Star Team. Each of these guys has such a unique personality and sense of humor that meshes perfectly when they are all together. They each shot their own individual commercials that will be posted in the next few weeks but we first wanted to share Cousins? 6 Seconds. This is just a brief introduction and a small preview of many come. Just know that they all bring something different to the table. Stay tuned for more!
