Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week: Comedian Harland William Dances to the Easterns Jingle

We hope that you all are enjoying your week! It?s time for yet another Throwback Thursday clip of the week brought to you by Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors). Back in 2008, Easterns recruited comedian Harland Williams to create a unique commercial. Aside from being a comedian, Williams is also an actor that has numerous movie roles dating back to 1994. Some of his most notable roles include Dumb and Dumber, Half Baked, and Employee of the Month. As a comedian, Williams has performed his stand-up on shows like Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Late Night with Conan just to name a few. It?s clear that he has a gift!

For the commercial, Williams dressed up as a scientist in a white lab coat and danced around to the Easterns jingle. The clip couldn?t have been funnier because he is such a natural. At the end of the clip, Williams urges customers to choose Easterns because of the large inventory. If ever you need a good laugh, this is the clip for you. Throwback Thursday Clip of the Week: Carmelo Anthony and Brendan Haywood dribble through the obstacles of financing a car.

It?s that time of the week! We?re back with another Throwback Thursday clip of the week brought to you by Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors). In this commercial clip, Carmelo Anthony and Brendan Haywood are shown showcasing their notorious basketball skills on behalf of Easterns. A cool fact is that Easterns Automotive Group managed to snag both players fairly early on in their career.
Carmelo Anthony was originally born in New York but moved and grew up as an adolescent in Baltimore and even attended Towson Catholic High School where he pursued his love for basketball. After high school, Anthony then went on to attend college and play for Syracuse University only to get drafted into the NBA by the Denver Nuggets. Anthony spent 2003-2011 with the Denver Nuggets until he got traded to the New York Knicks where he was from 2011-2017. He had a long yet great run with both teams but demanded a trade from the New York Knicks after having multiple conflicts with then-team president Phil Jackson. Anthony was then traded to Oklahoma City Thunder where he was for one year until just recently being traded to the Atlanta Hawks. After being there for only a few days, Anthony accepted a contract buyout from the Hawks and signed a deal with the Houston Rockets. NBA fans are excited for the skilled veteran to showcase his talent with a new team. We wish Anthony nothing but the best!
Brandan Haywood on the other hand did not grow up in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Haywood was born in New York City but then moved to Greensboro, North Carolina where he attended James B. Dudley High School where he became known for his hooping talent. He then attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where his seven foot height, skill, and knowledge of the game of basketball caught the attention of NBA scouts. This played a vital role in his Haywood?s career getting him drafted into the NBA by the Washington Wizards. He had a solid nine year run with the Wizards before being traded to teams such as the Dallas Mavericks, Charlotte Bobcats, and Cleveland Cavaliers. After retiring from the NBA, Haywood is still managing to pursue his love of the sport by being a broadcaster for ESPN, NBA TV and CBS Sports.
Both of these players have tremendous history here in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community so it only made sense for them to be a part of the Easterns movement.

Pay It Forward partners Fox 5 DC and Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) have teamed up yet again.? The pair found a very special organization to give back to.? MyannasHeart is a non-profit organization that gives tote bags filled with goodies to children at Inova Children?s Hospital.? Some of the goodies included in the tote toys, blankets, and puzzles.? These small things can make a child?s hospital stay that much more comfortable.? Kudos to Myanna?s mother Sheri Kempton for stepping up to the plate and taking the steps to ensure that her daughter?s dream came to life.? When Fox 5 DC and Easterns Automotive Group got wind of this they immediately wanted to help.? Fox 5 DC invited Myanna and her family on Good Day DC where Joel Bassam of Easterns surprised them live on air with toys, supplies for their bags, and a check for $1,000 to help them on their mission.?
