Washington Redskins fans ? we?re back! We couldn?t leave you guys hanging too long without another episode of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group along with the Washington Redskins. Charles McGlone recently came down to Redskins Park in Ashburn, VA to showcase his classic 1971 Pontiac GT-37. What makes his ride so remarkable is that he kept everything stock on the vehicle on both the interior and exterior. He managed to add some Redskins headrest covers for fun. The shiny red paint is reminiscent of the team?s official burgundy color. McGlone participates in many of the tailgate parties where he shows his vehicle off. The car is a big hit amongst Redskins fans that have already seen it. We?re so glad that McGlone took the time to show off his very special Redskins Rides. Redskins Rides: Glen and Vicky’s DeLorean DMC-12
Hello Washington Redskins fans! I?m sure you all are still recovering from celebrating last night?s win against the Dallas Cowboys. We thought it would only be right to share a new edition of Redskins Rides featuring a very cool car that you all may know. Long time Redskins fans, Glen and Vicky are proud owners of a DeLorean DMC-12. Most people know this car for being the time machine car that was featured in the Back to the Future franchise. Only about 9,000 DMC-12?s were made before production stopped. Glen purchased this car from eBay last year after debating for over 10 years whether or not he would purchase one. The two Redskins flags on the back of the car are the perfect accessory that doesn?t take anything away from the rare beauty. The back of the DeLorean has a flux capacitor which is a core component of the time machine. We want to thank this lovely couple for taking the time to share their awesome rare Redskins Ride with us. Pay It Forward: Retired Teacher From Prince Georges County Supports Neighborhood Children
Pay It Forward partners Fox 5 DC and Easterns Automotive Group (Eastern Motors) are back with a brand new episode and this one is a tearjerker. Cynthia Cogdell is a retired teacher from the Prince Georges County School district. Many times when teachers retire, they cannot wait to relax and get away from children. This is not the case for Ms. Cogdell who still dedicates her life to helping children without a paycheck being attached. Every morning before school, she meets and greets the children in her neighborhood at the bus stop. Her main goal is to help keep them safe and provide snacks to the kids so they can start their day right. Ms. Cogdell?s daughter uploaded a video to social media of her mother tending to the children at the bus stop and it went viral on social media.
Easterns Automotive Group and Fox 5 DC got wind of what Ms. Cogdell was doing and knew they wanted to do something nice for her. It takes a selfless individual to sacrifice their time, energy, and money to help others. Joel Bassam of Easterns Automotive Group presented Ms. Cogdell with tickets up an upcoming Washington Redskins games, a signed Ryan Kerrigan jersey, a certificate for a spa day, and more snacks for the students at the bus stop. She was overjoyed by the surprise. It?s clear that Ms. Cogdell has a lot to look forward to. With all the time and effort that she puts into the children, she too deserves to enjoy herself!

Redskins Rides ? Tim & Nick?s 1986 Riggins Signature Series Ford F-250
We couldn?t leave you guys too long without another edition of our Redskins Rides series presented by Easterns Automotive Group and the Washington Redskins. Tim Castle and Nick Bernardo are proud owners of a 1986 Ford F-250 John Riggins Signature Series pickup truck. For those who don?t know, John Riggins was a running back for the Washington Redskins from 1976-1865. Riggins broke numerous NFL records during his time with the Redskins and even played a major role in the Redskins winning Super Bowl XVII against the Miami Dolphins. He was named MVP the same year of the big Super Bowl win. Ford approached him with his own campaign to design his very own John Riggins Signature Series Pickup. Riggins chose the color to be burgundy with gold stripes to match the Redskins colors. Luckily for Tim and Nick, they were able to get their hands on this truck even though there was only a limited quantity made. They took the level of customization to another level by turning the stripes on the interior and exterior to arrows. This pickup even has a train horn on the back. Wow, what a unique classic! We are so happy that these two gentlemen took the time to show us a part of Washington Redskins history. This Redskins Ride is truly a piece of memorabilia. Redskins Rides: DeAngelo Halls’ 1969 Chevy Chevelle
It?s time for another edition of Redskins Rides presented by Easterns Automotive Group along with the Washington Redskins.? This is the second week that we have a Redskins player putting his ride on display and giving us a tour. Former defensive back, DeAngelo Hall joined forces with the Redskins Rides team to show off his 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle.? This car is very sentimental to Hall because it is the very first car that he purchased when he entered the NFL.? He made it is own by replacing the original engine with a 2010 Chevy Corvette Z06 engine.? Many car enthusiasts wouldn?t agree with doing this because they prefer to keep classic cars stock.? However, Hall did what was the best fit for him and his everyday lifestyle.? The bold silver metallic paint has an awesome shine when hit by the sun.? We are so happy that Hall took the time to show off his very special Redskins Ride.? Stay tuned for more Redskins Rides in DC, Maryland, and Virginia community.?
